Happy new year to everyone. 2020 sees us celebrate 40 years of SkirlaughRLFC. The year starts with a bang as we host Hunslet Parkside in the televised 1st round clash of the Coral Challenge Cup on Saturday 11 January
Directions to the Club
Leave the M62 and join the A63 signposted Hull , pass underneath the Humber Bridge and travel into the city centre which is approximately 4.5 miles.
Before coming into the city centre you go up and over Galtry Street flyover (notice Smith & Nephews on your right hand side).
Proceed straight onto into Castle Street after going through two sets of traffic lights, you will see Hull Marina on your right hand side.
After passing through Castler Street head to the traffic lights going straight on, and go up and over Myton Bridge.
Once over Myton Bridge head towards the roundabout with traffic lights, and go straight (2nd exit) through following signs at all times for A1033 WITHERNSEA/HEDON & DOCKS/FERRY TERMINAL.
This is the first of SIX ROUNDABOUTS you will negotiate.
Proceed to the next roundabout SOUTHCOATED LANE, see Hull Prison on your left hand side. Go straight through (2nd exit) following A1033 signs.
Go to the next roundabout KING GEORGE DOCK/ FERRY TERMINAL with traffic lights and follow it round again heading straight on.
MARFLEET LANE is the next roundabout (notice signs for HULL KR LIGHTSTREAM STADIUM), go straight on again taking the second exit.
Proceed to roundabout number five SOMERDEN ROAD and again go straight though (2nd exit) following signs for the A1033 WITHERNSEA / HEDON AND travel for a further mile to the last roundabout, which is the SALTEND ROUNDABOUT. Notice B.P. cooling towers in front of you on your right hand side.
AT THIS ROUNDABOUT TAKE THE LEFT EXIT, STAITHES LANE WHICH IS SIGNPOSTED PRESTON/ BURTON CONSTABLE AND 100 METRES YOUR LEFT IS THE EASTSIDE COMMUNITY SPORTS TRUST, AND CAR PARK.
